Community Guidelines
Forumz works because people who've been there take the time to help. These rules keep it useful and civil. They apply everywhere on Forumz, and zones can add their own.
Be helpful
- Answer from experience, and say when you're not sure.
- Stay on topic for the zone. Ask the question you actually have.
- Mark the answer that solved it, so the next person finds it fast.
Be civil
- Disagree with ideas, not people. No insults, harassment, threats or bullying.
- No hate: don't attack people for who they are, including race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- No encouraging violence or self-harm. If someone seems at risk, report the post. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Be real
- Don't pretend to be someone else, a brand, or a Forumz staff member.
- No fake accounts, vote manipulation, or coordinated campaigns.
- Don't post health, legal or money claims as fact when they could hurt someone. Share what worked for you, and point people to a professional for serious matters.
Keep it safe and legal
- Zero tolerance for sexual content involving minors. We remove it, ban the account, and report it to the authorities.
- No sexually explicit content or graphic violence.
- No sharing private information, such as someone's address, phone number or documents, without their permission.
- Nothing illegal: no selling drugs, weapons or stolen goods, no scams, and no malware.
- Only post what you have the right to share. Credit others' work.
No spam
- Don't post ads or links to your own business unless someone asks, or the zone allows it.
- Don't post the same thing in many places.
- Pros: help first. People will find you.
If something's wrong
Use Report on any post, reply or profile, and Block anyone you don't want to hear from. Moderators and Forumz staff review reports. Depending on what happened, we may remove content, give a warning, or ban someone from a zone or from Forumz. Questions about a decision: hello@managedsoftwares.com.
